Summer Worship, Art, & Music Program

 

What is SWAMP? It's a week-long opportunity for children to learn from the Bible, participate in art projects and in a musical production, performed on Friday evening, June 17.

Please keep in mind for SWAMP 2022:

- Registration limited to 100 children

- For children who will have completed grades 1 - 6

- No Art or Kindergarten tracks (all children will have some art experience during the week)

This summer we invite you to:

 

- Enjoy our family - both on Sunday mornings and during the week (see Summer Share below). Post photos on social media, tag Covenant Church, and use the hashtags #enjoyourfamily #covenantwl.

 

- Love your neighbor - find at least one way to connect with a neighbor. You know your neighbors and neighborhood best. However you decide to engage, consider taking a photo, posting it on social media with the hashtags #loveyourneighbor #covenantwl - with permission, of course!

- ONE SERVICE!! Sunday, June 5, 10:30am, Front Lawn:  we will worship together outside, followed bya picnic served by the Grill Team. Bring a dessert to share, or enjoy Gibson's Shaved Ice. No children's classes.

 

- Wednesday, June 8, Indiana Dunes State Park Beach: look for the Covenant sign to the left of the pavilion about 10:30am (CDT) to meet Covenant families for a day of fun in the sand and the sun. Bring a picnic lunch or money for the concession stand. Park admission required: $7/car or state park pass.

 

- Sunday, June 12, after both services: join us on the deck for coffee and Mary Lou's donuts.

 

- Sunday, June 19, after both services: live music on the deck.

 

- Sunday, June 26, after both services: yard game tournaments, including corn hole, Can Jam, Knock Out

Summer Share

 

Sign up to gather with a small group to share a meal, or an ice cream cone, or an activity of your choice. Choose the day of the week that suits you best, then we will create groups based on that availability.

Thrive! with Christ at Covenant

 

Thrive! is your first step to engaging more fully with Christ and with His people at Covenant. While intended for anyone who calls Covenant home, Thrive! is an experience uniquely crafted for those who are new to faith or new to Covenant.

 

This ten-week journey offers a focused vision of the Christian life and how that life can play out at Covenant Church. Make some new friends and embrace the abundance Jesus intends you to know (John 10:10)!

In faithful response to God’s leading and as faithful stewards of our building, we are making an investment together to follow what we believe God is doing in our midst;


improving and updating our space to create a warm, welcoming and inviting place of connection with Him and one another for this generation and the next.

9:00am - In-person service in the Sanctuary; also streaming live on our website and Facebook Live. Children's classes for toddlers through PreK. We invite students kindergarten through grade five join Kids Thrive! to build relationships with one another, enjoy some activities, and learn about a life of following Jesus. Check in at the check-in stations; Kids Thrive! meets in the Lower Level Retreat Center.

 

10:30am - In-person service in the Sanctuary; also streaming live on our website and Facebook Live. Classes available for toddlers through PreK (entire service) and elementary school children (during the sermon).

 

10:30am - Adult Learning Community, in person in Gathering Place 1 with a Zoom connection, to discuss the sermon and pray for one another.

10:30am - World Welcome, in person in Gathering Place 2 - a community for people from around the globe.

 

We welcome everyone - masked or unmasked!

Space in the Chapel is available for those who prefer masked-only seating.

Children's Classes on Sundays

Our 10:30am in-person worship services includes something special for children.

 

During the entire service, we are offering a class for toddlers through PreK. And, halfway through each worship service we will invite elementary school children to step out of the sanctuary to participate in an age-appropriate message and activities.

Middle and High School Students

 

Youth groups continue to meet, 7:00pm, Sundays, at the Retreat Center.

Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS)

MOPS is a gathering to encourage and support mothers with children from birth through preschool.
