Andrew is Retiring!

It is with deep gratitude and much sadness that we say goodbye to Andrew Patton as he retires from the Covenant staff and shifts his focus to investing in at-risk children and offering life coaching for adults. His last day on staff will be February 28.

How faithfully Andrew has served during the last 23 years! Stepping out of a human resources position at Alcoa, Andrew brought incredible relational skills and team building expertise to our staff. While his role has shifted over time, throughout his years at Covenant he has been the organizational glue for our staff, helping us become more and more unified as a team and more and more faithful and effective as servants of Christ. (Click here to watch an interview with Andrew about some of the highlights of his ministry at Covenant.)

Much of Andrew's work has been behind the scenes, focused primarily on our staff, but he also has been active in Children's Ministry, with our work at Murdock Elementary, and has effectively served with our trustees and on the Leadership Discovery Team. As he makes this life transition, I know he would be encouraged to receive a note of gratitude for the ways God has used him in your life. We'll be collecting notes between and after services on two Sundays, February 15 and 22, or mail a card to the church, 211 Knox Drive, West Lafayette, IN, 47906, and we'll make sure he receives your thanks.

Andrew, thank you for your faithful service. Jesus' love is evident in the way you see, receive, celebrate, and love us! We'll miss you in the office but are so glad you'll remain an active part of our church family! And to Kristen, Andrew's delightful wife, we thank you for the beautiful ways you have released Andrew into this calling. We love you and are grateful for you, too. God's grace upon you both!
