Worship Arts Ministry

Worship Arts Ministry (WAM) always has room for more!!

Do you hum along when the choir sings? Are your toes tapping when you hear the band playing? Does a drama make you dream of being a thespian or a dance cause your feet to twitch? Do lights, microphones and cameras fascinate you? Then check out the Worship Arts Ministry where there is always room for one more.

The Chancel choir has the joyful privilege of leading the congregation in worship each week. Weekly rehearsals are Thursdays, 7:00-9:00pm. Anyone high school age and up is invited to join. The musical offerings range from contemporary to classical, so there is something for everyone and a chance to stretch and grow as a singer. Singers unable to commit to long-term service can join the Christmas and/or Easter Choir.  Drama and dance are incorporated into worship periodically and for special programs such as Christmas and Easter. The Worship Band plays for worship weekly, but we also need musicians, including bell ringers,  who can play in the Christmas and Easter orchestras, and for other special services. Our Tech area can always use volunteers who have some knowledge or are willing to be trained.

It is the joy of this ministry to serve God’s people through worship, but we are also a close and caring community that reaches out when someone needs a meal, a hug, a listening ear, or some other act of service. We do know how to have fun, and there is a special time for fellowship during our monthly meal together, 6:00pm the first Thursday of the month.
